“Becoming a dad has given me the opportunity to take an introspective look about masculinity and how it affects the way we parent our children,” Ludo Gabriele creator of Wokedaddy.com
Ludo Gabriele is a French native and father of two living in NYC with his wife and fellow advocate of languages and cultures Diana Limongi.
Ludo’s writings can be found on his online platform, Wokedaddy.com, where he shares his thoughts about fatherhood, personal development, and all things related to healthy masculinity.
“We need to raise boys, children really, in a healthier culture of masculinity. Address culture so we can change the narrative and the toxic behaviors that have existed now for generations. Change the masculinity standards we have allowed and embrace heroes that are more compassionate and have healthier self-esteem. That are willing to treat women as equals!”
A Senior Director of MARC (Men Advocating Real Change) for Catalyst, a global nonprofit that works with the world’s most powerful CEOs and leading companies to help build workplaces that work for women, Ludo is charged with finding ways to inspire men as advocates for equality and inclusion.
Here are Ludo’s tips/thoughts on fatherhood:
- Forgive yourself. We are not perfect, and we should be ok with that.
- Love unconditionally without judgment.
- Accept that children are teachers. They shape us as much as we shape them!
- Raise children that appreciate diversity, equality, inclusion. Boys will become men that should respect women, at work, at play, at home!
