Capping up our April Lives was my conversation with the amazing Latina mom entrepreneur Susie Jaramillo, author, artist, illustrator, Co-founder and Chief Creative Director for Encantos and the brains behind their award-winning brand Canticos, a bilingual baby and toddler brand that highlights Latino inspired nursery rhymes and features board books, games, videos, toys, even clothes. Other brands from Encantos include Skeletitos, Tiny Travelers, and the latest Issa’s Edible Adventures.
If you haven’t browsed Encantos yet, I suggest you take a peek at their website. A forward-thinking family of brands that are inspiring and educating our 21st-century children.
They create character-led educational content that focuses on a theme, like languages, geography, culture, math, science, civics, social-emotional, among others. All their brands have a Learning Hub that offers at-home learning and activities. Canticos has a new upcoming learning app and Susie encouraged parents to reach out to them for those interested in being part of the testing team. Canticos also has new books coming out soon! Tiny Travelers teaches kids about geography, language, and culture, and Issa’s Edible Adventures is cooking up a storm and teaching kids about kitchen safety!
Stay tuned for our next IGLive early this summer where Susie will share all about Cantico’s new app and new books!
A busy mom entrepreneur, Susie offered the following tips for moms during the following weeks.
– Find a way to escape- a walk, maybe. Any opportunity to enjoy alone time.
– Be kind, be patient- let perfection go out the window for now!
– Play with the kids – board games, puzzles. She and her family recommend the game Corkle.
