At Latina Boomer Mom, we’re always promoting language and culture. Especially the Spanish language and all the Latino/Hispanic cultures that contribute to the beauty and richness of our global society. Peru is one of those countries and I had the opportunity to witness firsthand its splendor and uniqueness last year.
Kuyay Peruvian Designs
When my dear friend Magali Vitale decided to open her company, Kuyay Peruvian Designs, I was excited to share all about it with all my social media friends! To be honest, knowing her now for thirty years, I wasn’t surprised at her new venture. She was born and raised in Peru and her love for her country, its customs and traditions have always been part of our friendship.
Magali raised two daughters with two languages, Spanish and English, and three cultures, Peruvian, Argentinian, and American. A former marketing and advertising executive in Los Angeles, she founded the company to honor her heritage. Even its name, Kuyay, which means Love in Quechua, is a tribute to her ancestors.
Kuyay Peruvian Designs, is an online company, offering masks, hats, clutches, and belts. These beautiful products are made from ethnically-source, sustainable material that maintains the traditional weaving and coloring techniques of Peru. Each unique piece highlights contemporary fashion while showcasing the work of local people from the Andes.
