I enjoy talking to young moms and listening to their perspective on motherhood. Especially since my children are older and I can look back at some of the decisions I made as a mom along the way. Inevitably, as moms, we find ourselves, oftentimes, questioning our ways, comparing to other moms, to our own moms. In my chat with Lyn Glass last week, we talked about how our mothers have an influence if anything even to value their role and impact and to help us find our own ways of mothering.⠀

In our chat (in Spanish), we talked about motherhood without filters and raising children with positive discipline. We also talked about ways to avoid and to react to children’s tantrums, especially this Summer. Keep an eye for our upcoming chat in English soon! I invite you to watch our IGTV!⠀

Summer tips for parents of small children:⠀
⠀
1. Sleeping routine – if you don’t have one yet, do it! ⠀
2. Establish playing routine – include daily activities, games, crafts, screen time, nature walks.⠀
3. Establish eating routine – watch out for too many sugars!⠀
4. Have activity boxes available – there are many subscription boxes in the market: Booklandia Box, Hola Amigo Box. ⠀
5. Be flexible – firm but loving!⠀
6. Honor yours and your child’s mental health.⠀
