Last week, I chatted with the beautiful Ana Paola Villegas, founder of MamitaGallina, a space that celebrates all aspects of motherhood.
Ana is considered among the top 50 digital influencers and in the top 3 mommy bloggers in Mexico. A single mom of three (ages 23 to 8), Ana was just certified as a Knowledge Broker, a mindfulness program designed to empower and build confidence.
We talked about life with #Covid19 from a single mother’s perspective and offered tips for single parents as new changes continue to surface over the next few months.
Here are 8 tips for single parents
- Perspective – what matters most?
- Reinforce relationships – parent/child, spouse, partner, family, friends – that bond should be paramount.
- Parent Time-Out – without guilt.
- Pat your back – every day is an achievement, celebrate it!
- Exercise Routine – 15-20 min a day. It just makes the day!
- Accept what is – no sense in trying to control it.
- Ask for help – we’re in this together!
- Treasure alone time – wine, movie, book, a class, anything to unwind once the kids are asleep!
